Company Overview 

The Mattress Recycling Council (MRC) was formed to operate recycling programs (known as Bye Bye Mattress) in states that enacted mattress recycling laws - California, Connecticut, and Rhode Island. The MRC supports mattress companies by providing information about mattress recycling laws and directly assisting retailers and manufacturers with registration and reporting obligations. They work closely with local governments, waste management professionals, recyclers, and others to create an accessible and efficient mattress collection and recycling network.

In order to build a revamped brand identity that still rang true to MRC’s traditional presence, we used their pre-established logo with an upgraded blue and green color scheme. We used large, stylized photos of mattresses and mattress materials to convey an immediate confirmation to individuals working in the mattress industry that they had come to the right site. We utilized  bright iconography and large infographics to deliver a vibrant new look alongside a user-friendly navigation layout, supporting the vast content of the organization.

We built the MRC brand as a reliable resource to educate, push legislation, and build community for the mattress industry, and this new design and architecture has positioned MRC as a trusted resource for individuals and companies working in the states with new legislation in mattress recycling.
