Project Overview

November is Diabetes Awareness Month. Women's Heart Alliance used the increased awareness to underline the connection between Diabetes and Cardiovascular Disease and to motivate women to get heart checked and take steps to improve their health, especially if they are already diabetic.

Conceptual Pitch

Working closely with a copywriter we conceptualized four distinct social media campaign strategies to raise awareness of the connection between cardiovascular disease and diabetes. The copywriter and I produced copy and storyboards to present to the client. The concept, "Broken Heart" was selected to build out. Using the chosen concept we created a social media video, a Facebook carousel ad, two infographic designs, two email designs, and various social media graphics.

Facebook Carosoul

Working closely with a senior art director we used the Subject Matter studio to create photographs of a heart-shaped sucker being demolished. Using a hammer we gently broke the sucker and captured photos of the process as it broke into smaller and smaller pieces. I then took the photos and designed a sliding series of the heart sucker breaking. Using the bright and bold color pallet of the campaign and the message, "Don't let diabetes demolish your lifestyle" to encourage women to #getheartchecked

Facebook Video

Working with a senior art director, a production director, a project manager, and a videographer, we used the Subject Matter studio to film time-lapse's of chocolate hearts melting. After many trials and errors, we captured the footage. In collaboration with the Subject Matter production director we took the footage and produced a social media video that captures audiences attention and encourages viewers to get heart checked.

Infographics and Emails

Working with a content director and a copywriter we produced two infographics. One infographic highlights the link between Diabetes and Heart Disease and the other infographic showcases a 10 steps guide for woman's heart-healthy while living with diabetes. Using a bright and colorful palette and bold typography we capture the views attention with photos and text for easy to digest information.
